Receipt of an Unsolicited Proposal to Provide a Secure Online Central Registry for Advance Health Care Directives
The Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health has received and accepted for public notice and conceptual-phase consideration, an unsolicited proposal under the Public Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act (PPEA) of 2002, to provide a secure online central registry for advance health care directives including documents for health care power of attorney and a declaration of an anatomical gift. In accordance with the PPEA published procedures, VDH:
Copies of unsolicited proposals submitted as a result of this public notice shall be available upon request, subject to the provisions of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act and §56-575.4 G of the PPEA. Contact VDH, at kim.barnes@vdh.virginia.gov to inquire about proposals. Additionally, the proposals can be viewed at the VDH website www.vdh.virginia.gov/Aministration/PPEA or at www.eva.state.va.us.
VDH will accept for simultaneous consideration any competing proposals that comply with the provisions of the PPEA. Proposals shall be accepted until 5:00 p.m., eastern daylight saving time, on June 19, 2009. No additional proposals that are prepared in response to this PPEA public notice shall be accepted after this date and time.
Any vendor submitting a competing proposal shall provide VDH one original of its proposal in hardcopy and one copy on electronic media (CD-ROM).
