Advancing water resource protection efforts is the goal of many Federal, State, and local programs across the Commonwealth. Source water protection activities in Virginia are as varied as the funding sources that support them. Federal, State, and local partners meet the challenges of financing protection measures through a combination of funding sources. The primary sources for implementation of protection activities can be found within VDH and DEQ.
Grant Funding availability is under a program implemented through the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and the Virginia Department of Health.
