Immediate family members are defined as mother, father, husband, wife, child, brother, sister, grandparent, grandchild, or great-grandchild with a valid picture ID. All others can receive a Verification of Death document that will show the name of the decedent, date of death, date of birth, and the last four digits of the social security number.
