Community Health Report Card

park"The New River Health District's Community Health Report Card provides specific information and data on each of our locality's baseline and current collective health status and needs. It is intended to give the New River Valley a "benchmark" panel of vital health indicators that will serve to chart future progress and evaluate current activities. It outlines and measures the progress, or lack of progress, over time--both successes and failures--of the New River Health District and its localities toward achieving the Healthy People 2000 Objectives that were set forth for the new millenium."

Excerpt from J. Henry Hershey, MD, MPH, Health Director in his letter to Residents of the New River Valley
