Child Development Clinic

The Peninsula Child Development Clinic provides comprehensive evaluations of children, adolescents, and young adults from birth to age twenty-one.

We assess children with known or suspected developmental delays, learning disorders, acute and chronic health problems, physical disability, emotional disturbance, childhood trauma, or behavioral disorders.

Evaluations are conducted by a multidisciplinary team that has experience in a wide range of conditions that affect the development of children and adolescents.

Our services include:

Evaluation and Diagnosis

  • Social history
  • Medical evaluation
  • Vision and hearing screening
  • Psychological testing
  • Educational evaluation and achievement testing
  • Consultation with health care providers and schools as needed

Treatment Planning

  • Review of previous evaluations and treatment
  • In-depth interpretive interview
  • Recommendations and referrals

Support

  • Attendance at Child Study and Special Education Eligibility school meetings
  • Follow-up consultation and reevaluation as required
