Availability of 2009 H1N1 Influenza Vaccine

Newport News, York County, James City County, Williamsburg, and Poquoson

After School Vaccine Clinics Scheduled -- Monday Nov. 16 and Wednesday, Nov. 18

Weekend H1N1 Vaccine Clinic Scheduled -- Saturday Nov. 21

Call Peninsula Health District’s H1N1 Vaccine Call Center at (757) 594-7069 for the latest information about local availability of the H1N1 flu vaccine.

The Peninsula Health District is making H1N1 flu vaccine available through the immunization clinic at the Peninsula Health Center, at After School Vaccine Clinics and other community vaccine clinics, and during In-School Vaccine Clinics.  The vaccine supply coming to the health department determines the scheduling of all vaccine clinics.

There is no charge for the H1N1 influenza vaccine administered by the health department.

Peninsula Health Center

H1N1 influenza vaccine is administered by appointment only at the Peninsula Health Center, if vaccine is available. 

Call (757) 594-7069 to schedule an appointment (Monday to Friday, 8 am - 12 noon, 1 - 5 pm)

Appointments will be made for persons in the priority groups for receiving H1N1 vaccine at this time: 

After School Vaccine Clinics

After School Vaccine Clinics are designed to make vaccine readily available to all families with school-aged and pre-school-aged children.   Children do not need to be enrolled in a public school to attend an After School Clinic.  These clinics are open to other members of the community, especially those who are in the other priority groups for H1N1 flu vaccine.  The schedule of future After School Vaccine Clinics will be announced as additional vaccine becomes available.
