MRCs Nominated for National Award

Virginia Receives 12 Medical Reserve Corps Grants

In November 2003 Virginia received 12 grants, totaling more than $580,000, to help community-based organizations develop local volunteer medical emergency and public health response units. And the Virginia Medical Reserve Corps was born!

Today there are 19 MRC units across the Commonwealth, and at least one unit in each region of Virginia. Check out the "Volunteer Locally" page to find the unit near YOU!
