Virginia's
Medical Reserve Corps and Public Health Volunteers will
provide communities with medical volunteers to assist in
the event of large-scale local and state emergency. This
corps consists of practicing and retired health care professionals,
and others without formal medical training. Volunteers will
assist medical response programs during emergencies such
as influenza epidemics, hazardous materials spills or acts
of terrorism.
