Theresa Taylor provides oversight for the Division of Rural Health and Primary Care. She coordinates statewide rural health, primary care, and healthcare workforce planning and policy efforts. Data is used to guide planning, policy development, program design and implementation. Serves as a conduit for rural health, primary care, and health care workforce information and best practices to stakeholders. Identifies funding sources, writes grants, and manages/administers grants and other programmatic initiatives related to rural health, primary care and the healthcare workforce. With staff monitors grant activities and outcomes, and contracts. This position is expected to engage in frequent communication with private and public sector employees, citizens, officials, boards and organizations, advises and provides consultation/support to other office members to increase awareness and understanding of health inequities and their social determinates to advance health equity of all Virginians.
