Virginia Mental Health and Mental Retardation Facilities

Mental health facilities and mental retardation facilities are treatment centers where patients stay at the facilities (called "in-patient facilities") in order to receive treatments or counseling. Mental health facilities provide in -patient treatment for mental illnesses while mental retardation facilities provide in-patient treatments and therapies for patients with intellectual disabilities.
