Tuberculosis (TB) Control and Prevention Program

The mission of the TB Program is to control, prevent, and eventually eliminate tuberculosis from the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Program aims to detect every case of TB in Virginia, assure that every case is adequately and completely treated, and prevent transmission of TB in communities.

NEW:  Update on the National Shortage of PPD Solution for health care providers and facilities:  The supply of Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) solution is improving nationally, but supplies remain tight. Health care practitioners and facilities may continue to experience problems obtaining PPD solution. The guidance provided in this correspondence remains valid until supplies fully normalize.

2013 Exception List: Countries at Lower Risk for TB


Congratulations to the health districts that were presented Traveling Spittoon Awards  at the 2013 TB/Refugee Nurse Training:
