Resources for Healthcare Professionals and Community Partners

Virginia medical consultants working with the state TB Program provide expert clinical consultation on the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis.  In combination with Division of Consolidated Lab Services (DLCS) and other partners, a full array of diagnostic laboratory services is available in Virginia.  Lab testing services include:  smears for AFB, cultures, and susceptibilities, as well as rapid molecular testing for identification and susceptibility results.  Resources are also available for therapeutic drug serum level testing.

The TB program also provides resources to assist with medications and other basic needs for clients undergoing treatment.

Contact TB program staff at (804) 864-7906 for additional information, assistance in accessing resources, consultation or training needs.
