Drinking Water SRF Again Recognized by the USEPA
At the November 2003, national State Revolving Fund meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, the USEPA recognized the outstanding accomplishments of the VDH - Office of Drinking Water - Drinking Water SRF Program. The Program was recognized in three different categories.

Of all states our DWSRF was one of the 3 with the largest percent of funds going to small water systems. (See Slide 11 of attached EPA presentation to view the pdf file.)

Of the 41 states that have chosen to give principal forgiveness (grants), our DWSRF is 1 of the 4 with greater than 30 agreements (finalized financing agreement documents) in this category. (See Slide 15 to view the pdf file.)

Of the 32 states that coordinate funding (one definition of leveraging) with other funding agencies, our DWSRF is 1 of the 8 with the highest number of coordinated agreements. (See Slide 14 to view the pdf file.)
