The Office of Drinking Water (ODW) plans to implement a new electronic reporting
system by the end of January, 2009. The new system, in addition to bacteriological
results, will allow laboratories to submit inorganic and organic chemical, physical
and radiological results. The Excel spreadsheet currently used for submitting
bacteriological results will be available until 1/30/2009; after which all electronically
reported results must be submitted in the new format. Requests for the current
Excel spreadsheet can be made by contacting Gigi Meyer, Lab Liaison at (804)
864-7491 or gigi.meyer@vdh.virginia.gov.
The ODW will provide sample result format templates, implementation progress updates, and FAQs on our website through the Lab to State link. Check back regularly for updates.
The Office of Drinking Water highly encourages private laboratories to participate in the electronic reporting program to ensure that the analytical results are entered into the ODW's database accurately and expeditiously.
For technical assistance, training, and discussion opportunities, you are encouraged to participate in one of the implementation web seminars tentatively scheduled for:

| December 10th, 2008 | 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. |
