2016 Virginia HAB Taskforce Meeting

 

The 2016 Virginia HAB Taskforce Meeting was held at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science’s (VIMS) Campus in Gloucester, VA, on December 6, 2016. The meeting hosted approximately 30 partners in addition to another dozen by webinar. Topics included a summary of seasonal bloom surveillance and response events, reporting and tracking of HAB health effects during HABs, updates on research related to drivers of local blooms, toxins in food webs, and the ongoing revision of James River chlorophyll-a regulations.
