Bluewater Marina used Boating Infrastructure “Tier I” Grant funds to relocate a gasoline pump to the fuel dock. Transient boaters seeking gasoline as their fuel source will now have safe access to the fuel dispenser. The fuel pumps have also been upgraded to increase the pump volume thereby decreasing the time it takes to dispense fuel. The marina is serviced by a sanitary waste pump-out system.

The Town of Cape Charles has used multiple Boating Infrastructure Grant (s) to fund the construction and installation of 22 floating transient slips, 400’ breakwater, main water/electric service, bathhouse, electrical transformer, fire hydrants, gangways compliant with the American with Disability Act, lighting, security cameras, fuel system upgrade, development of tourism brochures, and an advertising campaign to highlight regional cultural and historic amenities.

The Colonial Beach Yacht Center used Boating Infrastructure “Tier II” Grant funds to construct 723 linear feet of floating transient dockage. The floating dock was installed in two sections that allow for a more flexible tie-up configuration. The transient dockage is serviced by 16 new power pedestals, and an electrical transformer. The transient docks are handicap accessible and are serviced by a sanitary waste pump-out system.

The Town of Chincoteague used Tier I grant funds to install a new fuel system to serve transient boaters visiting the Curtis Merritt Harbor of Refuge Harbor on Chincoteague Island.  The fuel system consist of an above ground two compartment tank (gasoline/diesel), 6 –  fuel pumps, hose reel for each fuel pump, and 2 – credit card readers.  The fuel system is operational 24 hours a day.  The town has proceeded to install a close circuit security cameras around the harbor, bathhouse and restrooms. A sanitary waste pump-out system is also available for use by transient boaters.

Deltaville Marina used a Boating Infrastructure Grant (s) to install 34 floating transient slips, slip utilities for each slip (water/electric), Americans with Disability Act compliant ramps and fuel system.  The fuel system consist of four new pumps, (two each gasoline and diesel), reels, hose, and lines from storage tank.  A sanitary waste pump-out system was also installed on the service dock.

The County of York has used Boating Infrastructure Grant fund (s) to construct and install a floating transient pier and breakwater with a capacity of 16 linear mooring spaces. The transient pier is serviced by a transient boater restroom facility complete with sanitary fixtures, sinks, and showers. The restrooms are compliant with the American with Disability Act. Both restrooms have a ceiling-heating unit. This boating infrastructure project also includes nine mooring buoys and a sanitary waste pump-out system.  The County of York also used Boating Infrastructure Grant funds to install 5 new security camera around the transient dock and mooring buoys including the installation of a gate on the transient dock

A “Tier I” grant was used to upgrade the sanitary facilities and onsite sewage system. The restrooms are compliant with the American’s with Disability Act and include new shower facilities, sanitary fixtures, and sinks. WiFi service is available at the transient dockage.

The Tidewater Yacht Agency used Boating Infrastructure “Tier II” Grant funds to refurbish E-dock with additional pilings, supports, fenders and re-decking. Funds were also used to install 400-amp electrical service including electrical pedestals and diesel fuelling station. E-dock serves as a linear moorage for transient vessels 26’ and greater. New power pedestals, water, and satellite TV service the transient slips. A sanitary waste pump-out system is also available for use by transient boaters.

The Town of Urbanna has used Boating Infrastructure Grant fund (s) to construct 17 transient boat slips, bulkhead, pedestrian walkway, and install new power pedestals. The transient slips are serviced by water and electric. The Marina construction project included restroom facilities compliant with the Americans with Disability Act containing shower facilities and a washer/dryer closet. A floating dinghy dock was installed to improve access for those transient boaters seeking to moor in Urbanna Creek.  A sanitary waste pump-out system is available for use.  In 2019, the Town of Urbanna used a Boating Infrastructure Grant to dredge the 17 transient slips to 6' MLW.

Washington Sailing Center used Boating Infrastructure “Tier II” Grant funds to construct and install a floating wave attenuator that also serves as a docking platform. The wave attenuator protects the marina basin while accommodating 18 transient slips. A power pedestal services each slip. A security system has been installed to ensure the safety of transient boaters using the facility. Access to the floating wave attenuator and transient dock is via a handicap accessible ramp. A sanitary waste pump-out system is also available for use by transient boaters.

Robert Brown & Associates using Boating Infrastructure Grant fund (s) constructed sanitary facilities to serve the 35 floating transient slips at White House Cove Marina.  The sanitary facilities contain lavatories, commodes, urinals and showers.  Each bathroom also contains a washer/dryer and infant changing table.  Each floating transient slip is served by a power pedestal (water/electric), safety station, and protected by a new vinyl bulkhead, Rip/Rap, with American with Disability Act compliant access ramps.
