Effective March 31, 2009 Virginia became the 36th Agreement State. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission transferred authority for the regulation of most radioactive materials used in Virginia to the Commonwealth of Virgina. VDH's Division of Radiological Health is the radiation control agency responsible for the implementation of the Agreement.
Published Feb 2, 2009 Final regulations- Radiation Protection Regulations: Fee Schedule 12VAC5-490. The X-ray registration/ inspection fee and radioactive materials license fee schedules are published in the Virignia Register. Posted February 2, 2009.
