• U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission announces it is considering request by Virginia to become an "Agreement State". Issued November 18, 2008.
• Radiation Protection Regulatons (12VAC5-481) are available for downloading in pdf file. Posted November 19, 2008.
• Board of Health at its October 17, 2008 meeting approves final regulations- Radiation Protection Regulations: Fee Schedule 12VAC5-490. The X-ray registration and inspection and radioactive materials license fee schedules are in Executive Review- posted November 19, 2008.
• U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is requesting states to assist with locating individuals who may have been exposed to radiation from nuclear weapons testing and in the uranium mining industry- posted June 11, 2008
