Kai Turner

As the National Health Service Corps Coordinator, Kai Turner serves as the liaison between the Virginia Primary Care Office and practice sites located in Health Professional Shortage Areas, as well as, the physicians that serve in medically underserved communities.

The National Health Service Corps is a federal program that offers Scholarship and Loan Repayment to primary care, mental and dental health clinicians in exchange for their service in high need, underserved areas. Kai assists Virginia practice sites who meet the NHSC requirements become NHSC approved sites so that scholars and loan repayors can be recruited to provide health care to populations in these Health Professional Shortage Areas.
