The General Assembly usually approves a number of resolutions that require studies and research to be undertaken by state agencies. The Office of Minority Health and Public Health Policy frequently has been assigned to conduct studies. Some of the study topics include, evaluation of the telemedicine initiatives, Virginia Area Health Education Center Program, the Virginia Generalist Physician Initiative, and protections in law and regulation for consumers of managed care.
