Congregational-based Health Assessment
In partnership with the Office of Minority Health and Public Health Policy (OMHPHP), the Congregational Health ReSource is conducting congregational-based assessments in two rural access areas: Luray (Page County) and Woodstock (Shenandoah County). The purposes of these assessments are to:
- Build a network of collaborators interested in seeing a complete continuum of care, developed and deployed in their community
- Determine if these programs can be broadened to incorporate or blend the health/wellness aspects more seamlessly to develop strategies and programs to improve the health status of Virginians
- Identify local health, civic, education and government leaders who would be willing to be a resource to the congregations in their community, promote health programs, and initiate/sponsor congregational-based programs.
The assessment findings and recommendations will be posted on this website.
