Was going to describe how one should prepare to become an EPI, but I never intended, so I'll tell you how I came to be here.
-Always interested in health care- High School - Gore, end in Maintenance
-College- no idea- Environmental Health
-Nuclear Medicine
-Health Dept as Environmental Health Specialist -degree basically set me up and better pay (restaurants, swimming pools, private wells, jails, daycare, rabies)
-Transferred to Roanoke for Lead Poisoning Prevention Program-
-Went back to school Health Promotions (enjoyed the whole health behavior deal)
