Influenza vaccinations for children are available through our regular walk-in childhood immunization clinics held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. and on Thursdays from 9-11 a.m. and 1-6 p.m., except there are no immunization services the first Thursday morning of each month. If you have any questions concerning flu vaccinations for children, please call our Child Health team at 768-7454.

Chesterfield Health Department recommendations for preventing disease transmission are as follows:
- Use a tissue to cover your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing; dispose of the tissue immediately and wash hands thoroughly.
- Frequently wash hands with soap and hot water for at least 20 seconds.
- Rinse and dry hands with a disposable towel and use the towel to turn off the faucet.
- Stay home from work or school for five to seven days if you have flu-like symptoms.
- Refrain from visiting a nursing home if you have flu-like symptoms.
Individuals with a serious allergy to eggs should not receive the flu shot.
