Residents Invited to Work toward a Healthier Greater Prince William

Four Public Health Community Conversations will be Held in February

(Greater Prince William, Va.)— The Community Healthcare Coalition of Greater Prince William (CHCGPW) is inviting community members to discuss public health priorities and help shape strategies for improving the community’s well-being through a series of Community Conversations. The CHCGPW is collaborating with residents, public and private organizations, local experts and coalitions to develop a Community Health Improvement Plan that aims to create a healthier place to live, learn, work and play.

At each of these two-hour Community Conversations, attendees will discuss ways to support Greater Prince William residents live their healthiest lives. These open discussions will focus on challenges to the area’s public health and the best ways to enact positive long-lasting changes. Community members from the Greater Prince William area are invited to attend. This includes Prince William County, the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park, and the towns of Dumfries, Haymarket, Occoquan and Quantico. Registration is not required and light refreshments will be served. Attendees can also win raffle prizes!

The Community Conversations will be held on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, February 12, 6 p.m. at the Haymarket Gainesville Community Library’s Community Room, 14870 Lightner Rd., Haymarket, VA
  • Thursday, February 14, 12:30 p.m. at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center’s Hylton Education Center, 2300 Opitz Blvd., Woodbridge, VA
  • Tuesday, February 19, 6:30 p.m. at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center’s Hylton Education Center, 2300 Opitz Blvd., Woodbridge, VA
  • Wednesday, February 20, 7 p.m. Jirani’s Coffee House, 9425 West St., Manassas, VA
