Wear Red On February 2 And Fight Heart Disease -- The No. 1 Killer Of Women
Women and men across Virginia will be wearing red on Feb. 2, National Wear Red Day, to support the fight against cardiovascular disease, the No. 1 killer of women – and men – in Virginia and the nation.
More women die from CVD than from the next six causes combined but only 13 percent of women consider it their greatest health risk. By wearing red you will remind women of this threat and urge them to love their heart by adopting healthy lifestyles, knowing their cholesterol and blood pressure numbers and learning the signs and symptoms of a heart attack.
