Kick-off of “Miles for Mammograms” program to enhance breast health services for women living in the LENOWISCO Health District. The Wellmont Foundation has awarded $23,863.75 to the LENOWISCO Health District, a culmination of two years of volunteer lead fundraising to help women in Lee, Wise and Scott Counties and Norton City receive free mammograms and other breast health assessments that are necessary to help women prevent, identify and survive breast cancer. Eligible women will be residents of the District, be between the ages of 18-64 years, are underserved or underinsured and have an income no greater than 250% of the Federal Poverty Level.
