LENOWISCO Health District provides flu vaccine in the community

(WISE, Virginia) – Holidays give us a special opportunity for spending time with our families. Making sure that our families are healthy is a special way of showing that we care. During the month of December, encourage family members to get their annual flu vaccine if they have not received it yet this year. It’s still not too late to get a seasonal flu vaccine. Historically, the highest flu activity in our area tends to occur in the latter winter months of January, February and March.

In order to make getting a flu vaccine more convenient, the LENOWISCO Health District has scheduled several community flu vaccination clinics during the month of December:

Wednesday Dec. 1 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food Country, Duffield
Wednesday Dec. 1 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Payless, Appalachia
Thursday Dec. 2 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Big M, St. Paul
Friday Dec. 3 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Payless, Coeburn
Saturday Dec. 4 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Roses, St. Paul
Saturday Dec. 4 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food Country, Duffield
