(PETERSBURG, Va.) –On Friday, March 16, 2012, the Dinwiddie County Health Department offices, located at 14006 Boydton Plank Road, Dinwiddie, Virginia will be closed and will relocate to 18712 Carson Road, Dinwiddie, Virginia. The new site will open for services on Monday, March 19, 2012. This is a joint effort between the Crater Health District and Dinwiddie County Government to better serve the community.
“This is a temporary move and we expect services to return to the Dinwiddie County local government campus within two to three months,” said Donald R. Stern, M.D., M.P.H., Acting Health Director, Crater Health District. Residents can contact us at 804-469-3771 if they have questions.
The Crater Health District and Dinwiddie County officials are working together to provide alternate locations for services. Childhood & Adult Immunizations, Pregnancy Testing, Nursing Home Screenings, Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), Vital Records, and Environmental Health services for Dinwiddie County Health Department will now be offered at 18712 Carson Road, Dinwiddie, Virginia 23841 (two story white building across from Dinwiddie Elementary School on Carson Road). Family Planning Clinic, Maternity Clinic, and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Clinic provided at the Dinwiddie County Health Department will now be offered at the Petersburg City Health Department on 301 Halifax Street, Petersburg, Virginia.
