World Refugee Day – Since 2001, June 20th has been established as World Refugee Day by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Each year, refugees and service providers across the country honor and recognize the extraordinary obstacles refugees have overcome. Previous celebrations have taken place in the form of conferences, ceremonies, and performances.
