DESCRIPTION:Join our CHW Core Competency Training available nationwide this spring for CHWs across the country who are looking to strengthen foundational skills and deepen their practice. \n• Training Dates: March 12 – April 30\, 2026 (weekly on Thursdays)\n• Time: 2:00–4:00 p.m. ET\n• Format: Self-paced online instruction and live sessions\n• Cohort Size: Limited to 25 participants \nThe 80-hour CHW Core Competency Training is delivered through a hybrid model grounded in the roles and competencies outlined by the National C3 Council. Designed with accessibility and inclusion in mind\, the session focuses on small\, practical steps that individuals\, caregivers\, and community organizations can take to support healthier brains and better lives for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. \nPRESENTERS:\nJasmina Sisirak\, MPH\, PhD is a public health researcher and implementation scientist focused on community health promotion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Her work centers on developing and translating evidence-based programs\, providing training\, and building and supporting community partnerships to advance inclusive health promotion across the lifespan. Jasmina is one of the founding directors of the HealthMatters Program at the University of Illinois Chicago. \nLake Murray is the Health and Wellness Coordinator at the National Down Syndrome Society where he works to create and support the dissemination\, implementation\, and evaluation of health and wellness programs. Lake\, born with Spina Bifida\, has a longstanding commitment to disability advocacy. He previously worked with the Special Fishies organization\, promoting drowning prevention and water safety for individuals with disabilities. Lake holds a B.S. in Public Health from Cal Poly\, San Luis Obispo and a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion from the George Washington University. \nRegister
