The Central Shenandoah Health District offers annual Flu and COVID-19 vaccines each year once they are made available. Respiratory season vaccines are usually made available during the month of September.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) endorses recently released vaccine recommendations from leading medical associations. VDH recommends that children and adults are vaccinated in accordance with the <\/span>2026-2027 respiratory vaccination recommendations<\/span><\/a> from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and the Infectious Diseases Society of\u00a0America\u00a0(IDSA). <\/span><\/p>\n

VDH encourages healthcare providers to draw on their clinical training and professional judgment, along with the latest evidence and scientific information, when talking with patients, parents, and caregivers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
