Working to protect and promote the health and well-being of residents in the Central Shenandoah Valley<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The Central Shenandoah Health District is one of thirty five health districts under the Virginia Department of Health. It is comprised of seven health departments that serve the counties of Augusta, Bath, Highland, Rockbridge and Rockingham along with the cities of Buena Vista, Harrisonburg, Lexington, Staunton and Waynesboro. Our local health departments provide numerous services to approximately 293,000 citizens.<\/p>\n

The health department can be reached for urgent or rapidly reportable public health situations after normal business hours by calling 1-866-531-3068<\/strong><\/p>\n

Office Hours<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The office hours for this\u00a0health department are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The health department is closed on all state and federal holidays<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Most services require an appointment, however, there are some services available on a walk-in basis, please call ahead to your local health department for more information or to make an appointment.<\/p>\n
