The surveillance is being conducted in accordance with authority outlined in the Virginia <em>Regulations for Disease Reporting and Control, <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/law.lis.virginia.gov\/admincode\/title12\/agency5\/chapter90\/section80\/\">12 VAC 5-90-80<\/a>, Section H. We ask providers to immediately report to their local health department:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adverse events <u>requiring hospitalization<\/u> in children less than 18 years of age following exposure to a THC or CBD product; and<\/li>\n<li><u>Clusters<\/u> of adverse events in children less than 18 years of age following exposure to a THC or CBD product.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Providers should report to VDH through the <a href=\"https:\/\/redcap.vdh.virginia.gov\/redcap\/surveys\/?s=7R4T3M7KFL\">THC and CBD Adverse Events Reporting Portal,<\/a> or to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/local-health-districts\/\">local health department<\/a> by the most rapid means available, preferably by telephone.
