The goal of the program is to collect complete and accurate data. HIV data activities are also mandated through the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/law.lis.virginia.gov\/vacode\/title32.1\/chapter2\/section32.1-48.05\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Code of Virginia<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 <\/span>The Virginia Surveillance Program collects data through both passive and active activities. Healthcare providers and labs statewide provide data for the program.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-148-1-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-148-1-1-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-image panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"3\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-image so-widget-sow-image-default-8b5b6f678277-148\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<div class=\"sow-image-container\">\n\t\t<img \n\tsrc=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2016\/01\/HomeBanner-169x300.gif\" title=\"HIV &amp; Hepatitis Surveillance\" alt=\"\" \t\tclass=\"so-widget-image\"\/>\n\t<\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-148-2\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-148-2-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-148-2-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child\" data-index=\"4\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h3 class=\"widget-title\">Jurisdictional Collaboration: Virginia, District of Columbia, and Maryland<\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p><span data-offset-key=\"7j53b-0-0\">A cross-jurisdictional cooperation letter <\/span><span class=\"passivevoice\"><span data-offset-key=\"7j53b-1-0\">was finalized<\/span><\/span><span data-offset-key=\"7j53b-2-0\"> on January 13, 2017.
