VDH utilizes satellite phone coverage in an emergency when normal modes of communication are inaccessible.\u00a0 Two types of phones are available:\u00a0 Globalstar and Isat2.\u00a0 Information for both are linked below.\u00a0 Globalstar phones are not currently active, but can be reactivated in an emergency.\u00a0 Isat2 phones are currently active.<\/p>\n

Testing:<\/strong>
\nActive satellite phones should be tested at least once a month.\u00a0 To test the phone call 804-864-7572 and follow the directions.\u00a0 More testing information is located here<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n
