If so, you might need to apply as a Temporary Food Establishment (TFE).<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">You can find more information about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/environmental-health\/food-safety-in-virginia\/tfe\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/environmental-health\/food-safety-in-virginia\/tfe\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1662732309812000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2P1kZ2P9JJJyxTX6qMXg1X\">Temporary Food Establishments<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Some groups do not need a permit when they prepare and serve food at their own site. These include churches, 501(c)(3) organizations, fraternal groups, school groups, and volunteer fire and rescue squads.<\/p>\n<p>However, they must get a permit if they serve food at an event held somewhere else.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">To apply for a Temporary Food Establishment Permit, submit a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2017\/02\/Temporary-Food-Establishment-Application-1.pdf\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2017\/02\/Temporary-Food-Establishment-Application-1.pdf&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1662732309812000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1ekuLHCSnPODuJQNe9J5Oe\"> TEFP application<\/a> and fee of $40 to the local health department in which the TFE will be located.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If you plan on using a Temporary Event Coordinator, please use the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2017\/02\/EventCoordinatorApp.pdf\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2017\/02\/EventCoordinatorApp.pdf&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1662732309812000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2tjAO4PYXE3ayqP2axnuAO\">Event Coordinator Application<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Applications and fees MUST be submitted ten (10) days before the event will occur.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">If you still have questions, please reach out to the Environmental Health department at 757-787-5886.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>On-Site Sewage &amp; Water Services<\/h2>\n<p>The on-site sewage and water department reviews plans for private wells and septic systems.
