This is not a demonstration of actual item formats on AEMT or paramedic examinations)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Did you take it? This quiz shows you the four different item types National Registry is adding to their examinations. While they may not look exactly like the examination, the concept is there. Registry wanted to share a \u201clike\u201d experience.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Technology Enhanced Items (TEI&#8217;s)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As technology continues to evolve and so does the National Registry examination. These new types of items gain a better understanding of each candidate\u2019s depth of comprehension and knowledge of a particular topic. The TEI\u2019s increase testing fidelity by making the experience more genuine, practice-related, and engaging for test takers. These items are created and scrutinized through the same process and by the same standards that the National Registry has used for years past. They are still developed by EMS field experts, evaluated by psychometricians, and will meet all standards and requirements for accreditation.<\/p>\n<p>Registry even created four sample items to let people \u201ctest\u201d themselves with the new formats: <a href=\"https:\/\/qfreeaccountssjc1.az1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_6EGplm2wa03YtZs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/qfreeaccountssjc1.az1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_6EGplm2wa03YtZs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>National Registry is excited to start sharing this information with educators and programs and our candidates.
