How do I Register for the Summit? 

Registration in TRAIN for the Summit, VES, and Finance & Admin In-Person Event is required.

2026 Public Health Preparedness Summit

• Tuesday, March 24, 2026- Wednesday, March 25, 2026
  • Registration began on February 5, 2026. Virginia Public Health Preparedness Summit  Course ID: 1133522
    • Sessions you will attend determines session room assignments
    • Provide food allergies/preferences to prepare for meals provided
  • Preconference: (Must be registered for separately)
    • VDH Spokesperson training: Course ID: 1003752
      • This workshop focuses on communication skills and strategies, communicating with internal and external audiences, and facilitating communication among individuals, groups, and organizations.
      • Target Audience - Any staff member that may work with the media

  • Note: Lodging rate has been updated to reflect $110 a night. Verify this rate prior to checking out of the hotel post conference. You MUST select the correct days for your individual stay (including if you are coming in the night prior to or post conference -see travel guidance FAQ)

Meals:

• Tuesday:
  • The hotel restaurant will be open for anyone wanting lunch before the Summit starts on Tuesday.  
• Wednesday:
  • Breakfast and lunch is provided on Wednesday.
• Thursday:
  • Lunch is provided on Thursday.
• Anyone requiring any special accommodations can request them through a forthcoming survey to be sent to those that register in TRAIN.

• Overflow hotel(s) will be identified and communicated should we exceed our capacity at Westin Richmond
