NOTICE AND DESCRIPTION OF SHELLFISH AREA CONDEMNATION
\nNUMBER 026-270, BROWN\u2019S POINT \u2013 RAPPAHANNOCK RIVER<\/p>\n

EFFECTIVE 8 JULY 2025<\/p>\n

Pursuant to Title 28.2, Chapter 8, \u00a7\u00a728.2-803 through 28.2-808, \u00a732.1-20, and \u00a72.2-4002, B.16 of the Code of Virginia:<\/p>\n

1. The \u201cNotice and Description of Shellfish Area Condemnation Number 026-270, Brown\u2019s Point \u2013 Rappahannock River,\u201d effective 15 May 2025, is cancelled effective 8 July 2025.<\/p>\n

3. Conditionally Approved Shellfish Area (open status) Number 026-270, shown as Section M1, is hereby established effective 8 July 2025. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to take shellfish from this area during such period for any purpose while in the closed status, except by permit granted by the Marine Resources Commission, as provided in \u00a7 28.2-810 of the Code of Virginia. The boundaries of this area are shown on the map titled \u201cBrown\u2019s Point \u2013 Rappahannock River, Condemned Shellfish Area Number 026-270, 8 July 2025\u201d which is part of this notice.<\/p>\n

4. The Department of Health will receive, consider and respond to petitions by any interested person at any time with respect to reconsideration or revision of this order.<\/p>\n

BOUNDARIES OF CONDEMNED AREA NUMBER 026-270<\/p>\n

M1. The conditionally approved area (open status) shall include that portion of Rappahannock River inland of a line drawn between latitude \/ longitude map coordinate (37\u00b050'21.5\",-76\u00b045'58.5\"), map coordinate (37\u00b050'22.9\",-76\u00b045'55.6\"), map coordinate (37\u00b050'19.5\",-76\u00b045'52.9\"), and map coordinate (37\u00b050'17.9\",-76\u00b045'56.3\"): and is shown only on the report.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
