{"id":24792,"date":"2026-10-08T13:32:08","date_gmt":"2026-10-08T17:32:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/environmental-health\/?page_id=24792"},"modified":"2026-10-08T13:39:56","modified_gmt":"2026-10-08T17:39:56","slug":"emergency-condemnation-010a","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/environmental-health\/shellfish-safety\/emergency-condemnation-010a\/","title":{"rendered":"Emergency Condemnation # 010A"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>EMERGENCY REGULATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTICE AND DESCRIPTION OF EMERGENCY SHELLFISH AREA CONDEMNATION NUMBER 010A, LITTLE WICOMICO RIVER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 9, 2026 THROUGH NOVEMBER 7, 2026<\/p>\n<p>Pursuant to Title 28.2, Chapter 8, \u00a7\u00a7 28.2-803 through 28.2-808, \u00a7 32.1-20, and \u00a7 2.2-4002, B.16 of the Code of Virginia:<\/p>\n<p>1. Pursuant to \u00a7 28.2-809, \u00a7 32.1-13, \u00a7 32.1-20 and \u00a7 2.2-4002 B.16, and \u00a7 2.2-4028 of the Code of Virginia an emergency closure on waters of the downstream portion of the Little Wicomico River is hereby established, effective 9 October 2026. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to take shellfish from this area for any purpose except by permit granted by the Marine Resources Commission, as provided in Section 28.2-810 of the Code of Virginia. The boundaries of this area are shown on the map titled \u201cLittle Wicomico River, Emergency Condemned Shellfish Area Number 010A, 9 October 2026\u201d which is part of this notice.<\/p>\n<p>2.
