Delta-8 THC is a psychoactive substance found in the <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Cannabis sativa<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> plant.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Although delta-8 THC products are available online and in stores, the FDA has not approved or evaluated the products for safe use in any context. The FDA has received over 100 reports of adverse events following the use of delta-8 THC products. Potentially harmful chemicals are used to create the higher concentrations of delta-8 THC found in products being sold. Delta-8 THC products are not inspected by FDA for purity and can contain leftover chemicals from product preparation or added chemicals that are not listed on the package. These products have psychoactive and intoxicating effects and should always be kept away from children and pets.
