The Eastern Shore Health District established a district Medical Reserve Corps in winter of 2005.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><strong>Eastern Shore Reserve Corps<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Everyone is encouraged to volunteer. The <strong>Eastern Shore MRC<\/strong> is recruiting medical professionals, as well as community members without medical experience. We need people with a variety of skills including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Practicing or retired medical professionals such as doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, veterinarians, and mental health counselors<\/li>\n<li>People who speak another language (including sign language)<\/li>\n<li>Counselors and Clergy members<\/li>\n<li>Filling out paper work for clients<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with children or the elderly<\/li>\n<li>Directing people, supplies and parking lot traffic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">ESMRC Membership<\/h2>\n<p>We welcome you to join the <strong>Eastern Shore Medical Reserve Corps<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Signing up for <strong>ESMRC<\/strong> membership is easy and the time commitment is minimal. Potential members need to submit a completed application, including a copy of their medical licensure (if applicable). New members need to attend an orientation or complete training on-line. After completing the orientation, <strong>ESMRC<\/strong> members are requested to attend 2-3 hours of training annually. Those <strong>ESMRC<\/strong> members who have completed the orientation will be offered the opportunity to attend optional trainings throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>Please take a few minutes to review the <a title=\"http:\/\/vdhweb\/MRC\/ESMRC\/training.asp\" href=\"http:\/\/166.67.66.226\/MRC\/ESMRC\/training.htm\">training schedule<\/a>, read the newsletter and complete the <a title=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/MRC\/ESMRC\/registration.asp\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vamrc.org\/vvhs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">application form<\/a>.
