The program provides recipients with educational loan repayment in exchange for at least two years of service in primary care or dental health care at an eligible practice site within a Virginia Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA).\u00a0 Please note VDH is working hard to overhaul the recipient selection process to improve efficiencies, better reflect the Commonwealth\u2019s health workforce needs, and improve the overall SLRP experience. SLRP applications received between January and March 2025 will be submitted before the next VA-SLRP application cycle opens. Information regarding the timeline for the upcoming VA-SLRP application cycle will be shared on this page as it becomes available. Bookmark this page for additional updates.
