REVIVE! Trainings and Naloxone

Mount Rogers Health District is pleased to be able to offer naloxone training and to distribute naloxone to community members. Naloxone, also known as the brand name Narcan, is a life-saving medication that reverses the effects of an opioid overdose. Free naloxone is available at local health departments.

In order to be able to receive naloxone, individuals must complete a naloxone training, which goes over how to properly administer the medication. Short trainings are available at local health departments (pending staff availability), and longer trainings are available for the community.
