Rappahannock Area Health District Offers Free Vaccinations and Health Information at Health Fair

Saturday, Oct. 20 from 9 a.m. – noon at Bethel Baptist Church

(Fredericksburg, Va.) — The Virginia Department of Health’s Rappahannock Area Health District (RAHD) will offer a variety of free vaccinations, including free flu shots, at a Health Fair on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 9 a.m. until noon at Bethel Baptist Church located at 1193 White Oak Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.

A variety of community partners will have displays, information and free health services including Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg Area HIV/AIDS Support Services, YMCA, the Virginia Department of Health Oral Health Division, You Be the Match, Stafford Emergency Management and others.

The flu vaccine will be available to those ages 12 and older. In addition, individuals ages 19 and older may receive free Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, acellular Pertussis) vaccine, if they wish.

The Patawomeck Indian Tribe of Virginia is co-hosting the event for the third year in a row. All are welcome to receive vaccinations and information; you do not have to be a member of the tribe or the church.
