Community Health Survey will Guide Future Efforts

(Greater Prince William Area, Va.) —Residents in Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park are asked to take a few minutes to complete a brief health survey online at livehealthynova.org. The survey answers will help provide a better picture of what the Greater Prince William community feels are some of the most critical issues our residents face. The Community Healthcare Coalition of Greater Prince William will use the results to identify services in need of improvement and to develop strategies to improve health in our communities.

“An individual’s health is shaped by more than just health care. Several factors play a role in shaping one’s health. These include affordable safe housing, built environment, education, economic opportunity, transportation and public safety,” said Prince William Health Director, Dr. Alison Ansher. “In coordination with cities and counties in the Northern Virginia region, we aim to use results from the survey to improve quality of life for individuals who live, work and play in the Greater Prince William area.”

Several cities and counties in the Northern Virginia region are participating in this effort through the online survey at livehealthynova.org. Contact Sarah Fenno at Sarah.Fenno@vdh.virginia.gov for more information.

The survey is open until Oct. 28, 2018, and is available in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Amharic, Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, Urdu, Vietnamese and Korean. All responses will remain anonymous and confidential. Survey results will be posted when the responses have been tabulated.
