Central Park Community Vaccination Center (CVC) Update
Thanksgiving Week Days of Operation Announced

(FREDERICKSBURG, Va.)— The Virginia Department Health (VDH) continues operations at the regional state-run Community Vaccination Center (CVC) at the former Home Gallery Store at Central Park located at 1877 Carl D. Silver Parkway, Fredericksburg. As of November 18, more than 11,200 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been provided at the CVC. This includes 2,300 pediatric doses administered to children ages 5 to 11 administered since November 4, the first day COVID-19 vaccines for this age group were available at the CVC.

Approximately 250 appointments will be available for 5 to 11 year olds each day at the Central Park CVC. Walk-ins are now being accepted for 5 to 11 year olds at this site, though appointments are still encouraged.

The Central Park location is now open from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are all available each day. During the week of November 22, the CVC days of operation have been modified due to the Thanksgiving holiday. This location will be closed beginning Thursday, November 25, 2021 through Sunday, November 28, 2021. Because the site is now normally closed on Mondays, normal operating hours will resume Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
