EASIER OPTIONS TO SCHEDULE A COVID-19 VACCINE APPOINTMENT

RICHMOND, VA – Starting Monday, April 26 at 10 a.m., Richmond and Henrico residents are able to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment for RHHD events without pre-registering. Individuals interested in an appointment can schedule an appointment at vax.rchd.com or by calling 804-205-3501.

“We are no longer in the time of long lists and waiting by your phone to get an appointment,” explains Amy Popovich, Nurse Manager at Richmond and Henrico Health Districts. “This is a new era of getting COVID-19 vaccines.”

The decision to shift towards this easier scheduling system was made after RHHD contacted nearly all pre-registered individuals at least once. Schedulers will monitor the pre-registration list and will continue to contact every individual who fills out a pre-registration form.

Although there are now easier ways to schedule an appointment, vaccine demand continues to outweigh supply in our area. Individuals who are not able to find an appointment immediately are encouraged to check back every couple of days. More information on other local COVID-19 vaccination opportunities can be found by visiting RHHD’s website (in English or Spanish) or by calling 804-205-3501,

“We are hopeful that this easier process reduces barriers to accessing vaccines for all of our communities,” says Jackie Lawrence, Director of Health Equity at Richmond and Henrico Health Districts.
