LENOWISCO AND CUMBERLAND PLATEAU VACCINATION CLINICS FOR COVID-19
for 75 year olds and older

(LEBANON, Va.) – In order to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to local residents who are 75 years of age and older, the Virginia Department of Health’s local health districts will conduct vaccination sites at large community facilities, beginning January 13, 2021.
These clinic locations are centrally located across the health districts, and will replace the schedule of clinics previously announced at local health departments. “Moving these clinics to offsite locations will allow us to vaccinate more people more quickly, while allowing for safe social distancing for community members, staff and volunteers,” said Karen Shelton, M.D., interim director of the Cumberland Plateau and LENOWISCO Health Districts.
Appointments will be required. Individuals must call to register in advance and must qualify to receive vaccine under the approved phases — currently Phase 1a or 1b — as defined at www.vdh.virginia.gov/covid-19-vaccine. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Personal identification showing age or date of birth, such as a Virginia Driver’s License, will be required at the clinic. Individuals should arrive at their designated appointment time and place, and not earlier. At the clinic, in order to protect yourself and healthcare workers, please wear a cloth face covering or mask and keep at least six feet of distance between yourself and other people at all times.
