MRHD Offering Weekly COVID-19 Testing in Grayson County

(Marion, Va.) – Mount Rogers Health District is offering drive-thru testing for COVID-19 in Grayson County.

Testing resources are limited, and only those who are pre-screened and approved for testing will be admitted, and only by appointment. Otherwise, these sites are closed to the public and no one without an appointment will be tested. Patients should wear a cloth face covering.

In order to be approved for testing, you must call in advance for a screening interview. Those who are approved for testing will receive an appointment time. To avoid lengthy wait times, please come to the site at your appointed time and bring your documentation with you.

Testing will be available each Thursday at the Grayson County Health Department, 186 West Main Street, Independence. To be screened for testing at this site, call 276-773-2961. Appointments will be available until all the slots are filled.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer weekly testing in Grayson County. Testing is important epidemiologically and helps us determine the prevalence of disease in our community,” said Karen Shelton, M.D., director, Mount Rogers Health District.
