No-Cost Drive-Through COVID-19 Testing Offered at Shenandoah County Fairgrounds in Woodstock on November 10

(Winchester, Va.) — The Lord Fairfax Health District, in coordination with the Virginia National Guard, will offer nasal PCR COVID-19 testing at no cost to the recipient, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Tuesday, November 10, at the Shenandoah County Fairgrounds, 300 Fairground Road in Woodstock. No appointments are necessary for this free event. Participants will need to provide contact information, so that the Health District can contact them with the results.

“Earlier in the year, we conducted a testing session at the same site to make testing available to the public, as well as to assess the prevalence of the disease in the community,” said Lord Fairfax Health District Director Colin Greene. “With the increasing numbers of new cases of COVID-19 in the District, we would like to try to assess the current prevalence of cases in the community. In addition, we are happy to provide this testing as a service to those who need or wish to receive it.”

Please note that this session only provides testing, and does not replace an appropriate medical evaluation. Individuals who are ill or who believe they require medical evaluation should contact their personal healthcare provider.
